SDsearch licenses allow use of the program by any number of employees and the creation of any number of installations within a single site. A commercial site is defined as location within a distance of 10 miles of the original licensed location and bearing the same company name as in the original license.
A commercial or rental license is required for all for-profit uses of the SDsearch software regardless of whether the activity is carried out by a business entity or a contracted individual. Activities funded through SBIR and Foundation awards to companies and small businesses are considered to be for-profit activities.
The rental license option is mainly intended for individual contractors and scientists at small business (fewer than 20 employees) who may wish to use the SDsearch software on an occasional basis for particular projects. Software licenses are renewable and will typically be provided for 1-12 months at a rate depending on the length of the rental period.
The SDsearch installation is provided solely by electronic download from the DeltaG Technologies web site without transfer of any physical media. Licenses are provided by email from DeltaG Technologies.
SDsearch is provided ‘as is’ and is without any warranty, user support or any expectation of future upgrades. However, license holders will be entitled to new versions of SDsearch should they occur.
